Reaching Ivry-sur-Seine from the parisian railway stations

If you arrive in Paris by train from abroad, you're very likely to end in one of these four stations, Gare du Nord (if you travel with Thalys or Eurostar), Gare de l'EstGare de Lyon, or Gare d'Austerlitz. Here's how to reach Ivry once you're out of the train :
  • From Gare du Nord, take the RER B line southward (direction Robinson/St Rémy-lès-Chevreuse), in St Michel Notre-Dame change for the RER C line eastward (direction Massy Palaiseau-Dourdan-St Martin d'Etampes & Co). While on the RER C platform remember to check that your train stops in Ivry before boarding ! (its final destination should be Massy Palaiseau or Pont de Rungis). Get off in Ivry-sur-Seine.
  • From Gare de l'Est, ok that one is really easy, just take the subway line 7 southward (direction Mairie d'Ivry, these are the yellow light trains), and get off at the final station Mairie d'Ivry.
  • From Gare de Lyon, take the subway line 14 direction Olympiades and change in Bibliothèque François Mitterrand. From there take the subway line 7 southward (direction Mairie d'Ivry, these are the yellow light trains), and get off at the final station Mairie d'Ivry.
  • From Gare d'Austerlitz, simply take RER C line eastward and get off in Ivry-sur-Seine.
